EMDR Therapy
You’ve tried to move forward, but you find yourself stuck in the past.
Maybe you’ve been to therapy before, but find yourself stuck in the same patterns or replaying past memories. It’s time to go beyond traditional talk therapy. Trauma is stored in our bodies and often requires skillful intervention to allow us to fully heal.
EMDR can help if you’re still feeling…
Feeling disconnected from the people and things you care about
Stuck in old patterns or find yourself replaying distressing past memories
Trapped in the past and hopeless that you will ever feel like yourself again
EMDR therapy can help you make peace with your past and begin to live in the present.
EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based method that can support you in processing traumatic memories or other distressing life experiences. EMDR taps into your brain’s own ability to heal. It can get you unstuck, and create lasting changes in your body and brain.
-
EMDR helps individuals process traumatic experiences by using Bilateral stimulation (can include eye movements, tones. or tapping) to help your brain reprocess and desensitize past memories to bring relief from the emotional intensity and impact.
-
Once we establish that EMDR is a good fit for you, I will walk you through what an EMDR session will look like and make sure you have everything you need to feel comfortable and ready. EMDR can be done in a 50 or 80 minute session.
-
EMDR can help you gain new insights, change beliefs that are not serving you, resolve emotional distress and help you feel more present in your life. It is an effective way to heal trauma and can also be used to treat anxiety, depression, addiction and other distressing life experiences that are holding you back.
At the end of the day, I want you to know:
EMDR can help you take ownership over your own story. It can help you reclaim your strength, heal old wounds, and step into living fully.
